About 13 months ago, Sherlock and I moved out of my parent’s house, and into a small apartment in town. Unfortunately, that meant I had to give up my garden space. I want to have a huge garden someday, but it will have to wait until I am able to buy a home. I wishContinue reading “Indoor gardening with the Aerogarden”
A few days ago, I checked on my garden, and noticed that one of my tomato plants is finally growing some cherry tomatoes! I grew this plant from seed, and it seems to be developing slowly, but it is very healthy! As for the other plants, I think the peas have died. I have onlyContinue reading “Little green tomatoes”
The strawberry plant is slowly growing and producing more strawberries. I got 5 berries from it yesterday, and they were delicious! But it’s not producing many berries all at once, so I will have to freeze some of them so I can collect enough to make ice cream and other recipes. The peas have producedContinue reading “Garden Update, June 23rd 2020”
When all of this crap that’s been happening this year started a few months ago, I discovered that I really need to work on some survival skills. Anyway, a few weeks ago, I wrote about the strawberries starting to grow in my garden. Well, today I checked on my garden, and the first one wasContinue reading “Fresh strawberries arriving now!”
I bought this strawberry plant a few weeks ago. I kept it indoors until all danger of frost had passed, and planted it in a large wood pot last week. I checked on it today, and discovered the first flower! Soon I will have a bowl full of fresh and delicious strawberries!
Well, it looks like Spring is finally here to stay. The flowers in my yard had begun to bloom over the last few days. Yesterday, when taking Sherlock out into the yard for the first time that morning, I noticed how beautiful the flowers looked with large drops of morning dew. So, after he hadContinue reading “Flowers blooming in the yard, May 2020”
This year, I’ve decided to plant a vegetable garden for the first time in many years. It will be small this year, but if I am successful, I will have a crop full of cherry tomatoes, carrots, and peas. I also decided to try starting my garden with seeds, rather than buying plants (except forContinue reading “Starting a garden from seedlings”
